Listening to Grief and Collaborative Sage present:
An open-mic night of stories waiting to be told.

Grief doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes it's sharp. Sometimes it's years old and still tender. Sometimes it's the loss of something that was never yours to keep.
Come to tell your story. Come to listen. Come to remember you're not carrying it alone.
Storytellers are welcome. So are those who just want to be in the room.
It does.
Grief shows up in the surprising and the mundane, the tender and the jagged. It lives in big losses and quiet ones, in what we expected and what blindsided us, in what we loved and what we're relieved to have left behind. It can be recent or decades old, ongoing or strangely outside of time. It can feel devastating or oddly cozy, clarifying or completely foggy, raw or already softened into something sweet.
If something in you has changed because something in your life has, that counts. Your story belongs here.

Whether you are sharing a story or simply there to listen, you will find a welcoming and understanding room of people who know what it is like to carry grief. All kinds of grief will be supported. There will also be a separate space for anyone who feels overwhelmed or overstimulated during the evening.
All grief topics are welcomed, whether told in story form or music. For single, acoustic instruments there will be a DI hookup or a second microphone available. In consideration of time, please limit your performance to five minutes.
